Romans 1:24-27, "24Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.
25For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,
27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."
Well these verses are ringing true in California. On Monday, same sex marriage became legal in California. There still is the possibility that this can be changed. Voters in California will have a chance to vote on the issue. Let's start praying now that the voters will change this ruling made by the courts. It may not seem important in our area, because it is so far away. However, the California ruling is different than the Massachusetts ruling. In Massachusetts you must be a resident of that state in order to get married there. In California they are letting anyone from any state get married there. So now, a same sex couple from Indiana can get married in California. They then can come back home and sue the State of Indiana to have there marriage recognized here. If this ruling holds up, we will begin to see lawsuits all over the country. Christians have jumped into this battle a little late. We must address this issue. And we must do it with love.
